As a leader in the Lean & Green sustainability program, with 3 stars, we strive to reach the 55% greenhouse gas reduction target from the Paris climate agreement as soon as possible. In 2013, we were awarded the title of Greenest company in the Netherlands. In 2020 we moved to a new location in Weert, where we are now located in our new BREEAM Excellent* certified building. This move enables us to continue to grow as a company. Besides our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC Storage and Distribution certifications, we have also been CSR performance ladder level 4 certified for several years. Recently we were able to add the EcoVadis Platinum rating. These are certifications that make sustainable development of an organization concrete, objective and demonstrable.
As a leader in compostable packaging based on renewable raw materials, we act as a personal packaging expert for our customers. More and more organizations are recognizing the importance of doing business in a green way. We all want to be more conscious of our footprint on the earth and reduce it wherever possible. However, it can be difficult for organizations to take the first steps without the necessary knowledge and tools. We find out the question behind the question in order to expose all the bottlenecks and offer appropriate solutions. Moonen Packaging is more than just a specialist in sustainable packaging. In order to unburden our customers as much as possible and meet their packaging needs, we offer various solutions in the field of packaging, technology and logistics.
It is important to us that packaging finds its origin in sustainable raw materials. As with our circular coffee cup concept Stack-it. Our goal is to derive half of our turnover from packaging with a sustainable raw material by 2023. Therefore, we are committed to using only the best materials and suppliers for our products. Some of our purchased goods are delivered by emission-reducing rail transport. Our service goes beyond the right packaging. You can decide how you want to place your order, but also how you want to receive the order confirmation, packing slip and invoice. There are various ways to place your order with us; via the webshop, via the online customer portal, by mail/phone or via systems integration. In terms of logistics, we manage your customer-specific stock and, together with our partners, we can provide fine-meshed distribution and zero emission last mile deliveries. Delivering with CO2-saving LHV transport is also an option. By working with our customers to increase sustainability in all facets of their packaging issue, we save on their bills and the environment.
